Face Value
I tried to convince myself that I was going to stop fucking with somebody, but then there I was waiting on them to do something to change my mind.
I’ve decided to stop the bullshit and take things for face value. People show you who they are. We can’t hope that they will change, because they won’t. If they act and treat you like they don’t care or give a shit, then they really don’t care or give a shit.
This goes for everyone: friends, family, dating, ect. I’m tired and done wasting my time and effort. I deserve better.
Am I Too Picky….?
I’ve been asked out on dates and have turned them down. Am I just so uninterested in everyone or am I being too picky?
Here’s a tip: Ask me out for pizza or nachos and I won’t say no. 😜
LB Night CAP
Yesterday was a crazy day at work. I had a 15 hour shift, which culminated with our inaugural event. Free booze and food and great music made the night really fun. Best part was hanging out with co workers who were clowning me about being a piece of meat for an attendee. Fuckers…. It was funny though and I had a blast.
Casual Hangouts
Maybe it’s the whole not ever being in the dating scene when I was younger, but these casual outings I’ve gone on recently have really made me realize how out of place I feel when casually hanging out with new people.
I mean I got a fucking dating profile thanks to co workers last year. A good laugh in the beginning, but I ended up making a real good friend from it, so it wasnt all that bad.
It’s this damn generation. I dabble in it, yes, but the majority of what they consider hip, cool and normal isn’t really my style.
And one more thing, why the fuck am I getting 20 year olds trying to get at me? Where where you a few years ago when you fell in my age range.
NYE – Hotel Figueroa
Originally I was supposed to go to Union Station for their 20’s themed open bar New Years celebration, but with tickets being about $165, not many people were up for it. We found a similar event at Hotel Figueroa with a Casablanca theme for $30, but no open bar.
We met up at Vanessa’s house and took the Metro since it was free from 9pm – 2am. It was cold for LA standards. The place turned out to be worth it for the price of admission.
When we got there, it wasn’t too packed, so me manages to get a small table under some flamed lanterns to keep us warm. We got a few drinks and tacos and just enjoyed the night! They had some performances, including a mermaid whom dove into the swimming pool. Images below:
Vanessa and I met a girl downstairs by the restrooms and she was awesome! Hi Faten!!
The clock struck 12am and we all celebrated! We kept drinking, dancing and eating tacos.
Fun event overall, until the end when some drunk girl took my pea coat. It was 30+ degrees and I was walking the streets of LA. Just FYI, for us SoCal residents, this IS cold!! The first day of the new year and I have a story to remember.
My Pea Coat
I’m wandering downtown LA in the freezing cold without a jacket because some girl took it from the seat I placed it on. I can obviously replace it, but I’m just pissed because I’m jacket-less in 30+ degree weather. Yay 2015. 😒
Creative Flow
“We keep moving forward, opening new doors, and doing new things, because we’re curious and curiosity keeps leading us down new paths.” – Walt Disney
Always one to try new things, curiosity got the best of me a few years back. I dove into taking pictures, filming and editing videos, and started this website. I continued and stopped some and randomly picked them up again for a short time. “I don’t have enough time,” was a thought that constantly ran through my mind. Screw that! I’m tired of just going to work, going to the gym and coming home almost daily. I have outgrown this routine.
I just upgraded my DSLR and purchased some lighting and a tripod and have booked a few photo shoots to shoot some ideas I have. Stupid, fun, or already done, I don’t care, I just want to get back into my hobbies. I’ve decided to just spend more time on my creative side (or lack thereof) and just have some fun with it.
I’m also planning on purchasing a go-pro and filming some videos and posting them up on my YouTube channel. I have so many idea that I don’t want to go to waste. People tend to give themselves a future start date for new things they want to begin, and that’s not a motto I live by. I always say that once you decided to start something, it should begin then, not at a later time.
More tweaks on this revamped website will begin soon, and where I’m heading…… I don’t know. Not knowing where all this will take me is the fun part, and I for one am excited again!
